Mission
The mission of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Commerce
is to encourage economic development
and the improvement of the quality of life of the people
of Barbados through the facilitation of commerce, entrepreneurship
and the protection of consumers.
Our
Objectives
To contribute to the economic development of Barbados
through the National Council for Science and Technology(NCST),
whose mandate is to co-ordinate research and development
in science and technology.
To promote the growth and development of the commercial
and business sectors, especially the small business
sector.
Through the services of the Barbados National Standards
Institution (BNSI), implement standards which will contribute
to economic development.
To administer specific legislation. |
