Thirty years ago today, the international community celebrated the first World Consumer Rights Day. Since the first celebration on March 15, 1983, each subsequent anniversary has been commemorated by focusing on a different theme in order to highlight its significance to consumers.
Mobile Web Application (Apps) Workshop and Competition
The Ministry of Commerce and Trade in collaboration with the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill Campus and Microsoft will be conducting a Mobile Web Application (Apps) Workshop and Competition. This event is opened to Barbadians between the ages of 18 and 30 years. Participation in the competition could be on an individual basis or in a team with a maximum size of three (3).
Barbados to ratify Cyber Crime Convention
In an effort to provide a legal structure and international framework to cooperate with other countries in combating cyber crime, the Ministry of Commerce and Trade will be working to have this island ratify the Cyber Crime Convention.
